Close losses threaten Timberwolf playoff bid

It has been a rough year for the Goldendale baseball team, but a seven run sixth inning against Zillah went a long way to give the Timberwolves hope for extending their season. A week of challenges began with a near upset of perennial power, Naches Valley and it ended on a high note with a 12-10 win over the Leopards.

The Rangers beat Goldendale with great pitching and just enough hitting for a 10-0 win in a five-inning game at Naches. Koleman Johns got the win with a two-hit performance.
