Strong week for girls' doubles

 


A rescheduled match against Ki-Be made for a busy week for Goldendale’s tennis team. The Timberwolves split with Highland, a 4-1 win for the girls and a 5-0 loss for the boys, followed two days later with a pair of 3-2 losses to Ki-Be and finally a pair of 3-2 wins over Cle Elum-Roslyn on Saturday.

The girls doubles teams have become the strength of the girls team, winning eight of nine matches, although two were by forfeit. The only singles win for the girls during the week was a hard-fought 6-6 (9-7), 6-2, 6-2 win by Hannah Hoffman against Highland’s Brenda Castellanis.
