County marksmen win archery and air rifle titles

Klickitat County shooters continued their dominance of the State 4-H shooting sports competition with first place finishes in five of the six disciplines they competed in April 20-21 in Eatonville. Leading the way in the senior divisions of air rifle and archery were David Gunkel and Tanner Tallman, respectively. Gunkel will represent Washington in the National 4-H Shooting competition June 23-28 in Grand Island, NE. Tallman and Trent Radway, archery runner-up and also representing Klickitat County, had the option to compete at Nationals, but chose to pass at this time.
