Lady Wolves fourth in West, playoff at Connell Thursday

IN A PICKLE: Klickitat’s Bailey Green is run down by Goldendale’s Malissa Barrier between second and third bases during Saturday’s game.

Goldendale locked up a berth in the SCAC crossover playoffs with a sweep of Granger last week, winning by scores of 8-2 and 15-2. They missed a chance to improve their position when Zillah got by the Lady Timberwolves 10-8 and 7-3 in a make-up double-header played in Goldendale on Thursday. The playoffs begin May 16 with Goldendale traveling to Connell to take on the SCAC East champions. The winner of that game will take on the winner of River View versus Cle Elum-Roslyn and the losers of the two games will also meet in the second round, which will be played May 18 at Hanford High School in Richland.
