Summer begins with summer school and VBS

Concerned citizen: Little Jocee Jo Hoctor and Nana Mary Pierce picked up garbage along the BZ-Glenwood Highway. Jocee Jo had been distressed by the thoughtless tossing of trash along the road.

Another Ketchum Kalf Rodeo in Glenwood has come and gone; and the town has returned to its normal pace. Swimming lessons through the school finished up last week; and the countdown for summer school is now less than two weeks.

Vacation Bible School is underway at the Pioneer Memorial Community Church this week offering afternoon activities for children after summer school lets out.

Farmers with haying on the mind are waiting for the recent showers to pass and the warm weather to cooperate for their endeavors.

One of the community services that our Mt. Adams Community 4-H group performs is picking up trash at the rodeo grounds following the annual event. We have a budding 4-H trash-p...
