Truck commemorates Herrington

THE HERRINGTON TRUCK

One of the Demolition Derby entries has great meaning to a lot of people here in Goldendale.

A truck was remodeled to commemorate Tom Herrington, a man cherished by many and who died earlier this year. Herrington was instrumental in making trucks eligible to be entered into the derby, so those involved in its creation felt it was a great way to honor his memory. On the roof of the cab was a mural of Herrington and the number “4U [Tom].”

Jason and Esther Read, David Hilton (who also acted as the driver), Crystal Ball, Chad and Jessica Read, and Cameron and Collin Read all worked together to build the 4U [Tom] truck.

The main sponsors were NAPA, Read Scrub ’n’ Bubbles, and Read Sand...
