Hometown Pizza one year at new location

A PERMANENT HOME: Hometown Pizza, now one year at its newest location, plans to stay put.

Hometown Pizza will hit its one-year mark at its new new location at 340 East Collins on Aug. 27.

Charlie Hopper has been with Hometown for the last 12 years and now owns the business as of two and a half years ago. “We keep having people ask us when we’re going to move again, [but] this is our final home. We bought the building and the property behind us, and we want to expand,” explains Hopper.

As for the history of Hometown Pizza, the business started as just a take-and-bake 12 years ago. They were at their original location next to Sodbusters for eight years before moving to their location on Columbus, and finally after three years there, Hopper decided it was time to put down...
