Lady Wolves want to run, need goalie

Coach Jimmy Dick was feeling good and bad, during soccer practice on Friday. “I feel really good about this team. I would feel a lot better if I had a goalie,” said Dick.

Dick has as good of a group of athletes as he has ever had for soccer at Goldendale. The trouble is, they all want to run. Nobody is too interested in standing in goal throughout a game.

Dick wasn’t optimistic about someone suddenly stepping forward to play goal. He is more likely to cover goal by committee this year. Dick says he will probably have someone play one half and someone else play the second half, so nobody has to spend an entire game in goal.
