Bickleton off to 2-0 start after 3-0 win over Trout Lake

PERFECT START: Bickleton is off to a perfect start in league play following 3-0 wins over Yakama Nation and Trout Lake. Lindsay Brown has been strong at the net.

There is nothing like winning to give a team confidence. After winning their final match at the Sundome Festival, last week, Bickleton pounced on their first two opponents in league play for a pair of 3-0 wins.

The first win came at the expense of Yakama Nation on the court in Toppenish. The Pirates didn’t give away many points with perfect serving from Lindsay Brown (15-15) and Daniela Smith (8-8) and near-perfection from Shaylee Tharp (19-20) and Sydnie O’Banion (15-16). Tharp had nine aces and O’Banion served up seven. Brown led the team with seven kills. Smith and Tharp shared the setting duties, giving Brown something to hit.
