Big news: a picture can cause you severe harm and injury

Have you heard? Pictures of Jesus Christ can cause “permanent, severe, and irreparable harm and injury.”

No, really. The ACLU and the Freedom From Religion Foundation said so. And a school district in Jackson, Ohio, learned that the hard way when it was forced to take down a picture of Christ that had hung in the school, along with portraits of other prominent historical figures, since 1947. It also had to pay $95,000 as a fine for its wanton effrontery, which went to the organizations that brought the suit against the district, for “damages” and legal fees.

Let that be a lesson to schools everywhere.

Well, it will be, but it won’t be a lesson in the damage that a picture can in...
