SCAC schools reject additon of District 4 teams

 


The Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) announced it’s classification of schools for 2014-2016 earlier this month and it will lead to important changes in the South Central Athletic Conference (SCAC).

The WIAA sets its classifications for schools from the smallest, 1B, to the largest, 4A, based on enrollment in grades nine through 11, trying to keep the number of schools per classification somewhat equal. The classification interval is set for four years at a time with school enrollment set every two years. Schools have the option to opt up one class, and several go that way each year, including La Salle, Cle Elum-Roslyn and River View of the SCAC this year. Each of t...
