To the Editor:

If you stacked all of your birthday cards that you have received in your life time, how many inches high would it be? For some of us, the pile is so high, it’s even tipping over.

It’s easy to get discouraged when you have little direction for your God-given talents. You no longer have a job that gives you a purpose: your kids are grown and gone: some close friends have passed on. How can you serve others as Jesus directed?

This true story caught my attention. Author unknown, it involved a very talented man who had a tragic accident, losing both legs and left arm. On his right hand he had only a finger and thumb remaining.
