Maryhill Museum of Art opens Saturday, sculptor James Lee Hansen to speak of life work

 


The Maryhill Museum of Art opens this Saturday, March 15 with a featured presentation by James Lee Hansen, discussing his life and his art. Hansen is one of the Northwest’s most lauded modernist sculptors. The event begins at 3:30 p.m.

Later on Saturday at 5 p.m. is the opening reception for Maryhill Museum of Art members. Hors d’oeuvre and wine will be served. In addition to Hansen, Angela Swedeberg and Shannon Wheeler, curator of The Flip Side, will be on hand.

This month is a hands-on evening of bookmaking with Roberta Lavadour. Lavadour will guide participants in a book binding experience that is sure to spark a book making obsession. No experience is necessary. Participants will...
