Drano Lake, Wind River rule changes announced

 


Anglers will be allowed to use two poles at Drano Lake, providing they have a two-pole endorsement, beginning May 1. The rule only applies to salmon and steelhead and runs through June 30. All other rules still apply.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife also reported that the daily catch limit on the Wind River will be two chinook or two hatchery steelhead or one of each at various times and locations on the Wind River. The stretch from the mouth of the river upstream to the Burlington Northern railroad bridge opened March 16 and is open through July 31. Those with a two-pole endorsement can fish with two poles for salmon and steelhead from May 1 through June 30.
