Goldendale boys win Moro meet, Lyle-Wishram second at Wahtonka

BACK ON TRACK: Thursday's meet in The Dalles was the first action of the season for Trout Lake and Goldendale. Caitlin Scott got off to a great start with wins in the 1500 meter races at The Dalles and on Saturday in Moro.

The 2014 track and field season got underway with unusually mild weather which brought out great performances from athletes at three meets last week. There were winning performances by some of the familiar faces who are reaching top form early in the year and a great group of freshmen who are sure to put points on the board for their teams this year.

There have also been some intriguing battles which have cropped up due to competition within teams and also because Goldendale, Lyle-Wishram, Klickitat, Trout Lake and Glenwood were in the same meets last week.
