Personal records show athletes peaking as districts approach

 


Brian Golding was a double winner for Goldendale last week in Zillah. Golding was Goldendale’s only winner among the boys, taking first in the 110 meter hurdles in 16.2 seconds and first in the 300 hurdles in 42.18. The only other winner for the Timberwolves was Sofia Casimiro, who won the discus with a throw of 89-7. Goldendale’s boys lost to Zillah and La Salle in the head to head match-ups and defeated Cle Elum. The girls also won over Cle Elum and lost their other two matches.

Chance Carpenter, of Lyle-Wishram had a banner day, setting three personal records in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 400 meters. Ivory Pearson, of the Cougars, broke the 3-minute barrier in the 800 meters fo...
