Vanessa Mueller passes the baton to MaeLynn Luke in the 4x100. The Lyle-Wishram team missed the cut with a third place finish.

Conditions were nearly ideal for Regional competition at Toppenish, Friday. Clockwise from lower left: Bickleton's Shaylee Sharp cleared 7-feet, good enough for second behind Bethany Putnam, of Glenwood. Both girls qualified for State. John Stephens ran his best 300 meter hurdle race of the year to beat Bickleton's Nathan Powers. Stephens, of Lyle-Wishram and Powers claimed the two State berths in the two hurdle events. Greg Dechand won the pole vault for the third time this year and advances to State, along with Lyle-Wishram's Josh Showalter. Powers shows his form over a hurdle to win the 110 meter hurdles.
