Quartet qualify for National rodeo in Rock Springs

HEADING TO NATIONALS: Headed to the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs, Wyo. are: (l-r) David Gunkel, R.J. Hicks, Tanner Bradley and Logan Siebert. The four won the right to compete at the national level after top four finishes in the Washington State High School Rodeo.

Tanner Bradley, R.J. Hicks, David Gunkel and Logan Siebert are headed for the National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR), July 13-19, in Rock Springs, Wyo.

Bradley is this year's bull riding champion for Washington state high school rodeos. He was awarded a buckle and saddle for having top points through this season of rodeos. Bradley is a junior at Goldendale.

Hicks, from Husum, placed fourth in bull riding, earning him a spot in the Nationals.

Gunkel and Siebert will compete in the shooting competition, which has become an event at the NHSFR. Gunkel is co-champion in the state for light rifle. Siebert placed fourth in light rifle and fourth in trap shooting and will compete in both event...
