A Midsummer Night's Dream performed at Maryhill Museum

 


Woodland fairies and sprites will wander the gardens at Maryhill Museum of Art on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 3 p.m. when the Portland Actors Ensemble presents a free performance of one of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The popular comedy follows the adventures of four young star-crossed lovers, a group of amateur actors, and a duke and a duchess, as they chance upon mischievous fairies and their elves in a magical forest. The production is part of the company’s annual Shakespeare-in-the-Parks series, which makes live theater accessible to a wide audience. This is the 45th season of Shakespeare-in-the-Parks.
