Jacki Bacon

Obituary

Jacki Deatta Stinnett was born in Yakima, Washington on Oct. 27, 1944, the youngest of nine to Lolah (Beasley) and Ray Stinnett.  She was raised in Selah and graduated from West Valley High School.  All of her life, Jacki loved and interacted with horses.  In her younger years she competed in rodeos and was a member of the horse drill team.  She was a champion barrel racer, winning that competition at the Calgary Stampede in 1960.  Jacki never lost on her horse, Smokey.  In Jacki's later years after slowing down to a trot, she was an active member of the Carson saddle club.  She enjoyed any outdoor activities such as camping, hunting, fishing and riding around in their blue jeep with the love of her life Jim Bacon. Jacki boarded, trained and cared for horses. She dearly loved her dogs, cats, and horses. Mrs. Bacon passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Carson, Washington on May 27, 2014 at the age of 69.

She will be missed by her son Daniel Patton and his wife Kacy of Bremerton, Wash .; daughter Lolah Bliss and her husband Sean of Carson; siblings and their spouses Ray and Patty Stinnett of La Grande, Ore., George and LuFrayne Stinnett of Boise, Idaho, Odie and Dennis Hunter of Ocean Shores, Wash., and Mavis Stinnett of Mt. Vernon, Wash .; grandchildren Sidney, Ciara, Cassidy, Joplynn, Jeanetta, Bodhi, Baeden and Jenaveve; great-grandson Harbor Ray and great-granddaughter Lolah Jean and her constant companion Lukey. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Bacon; daughter Erin Patton; parents Ray and Lolah Stinnett; brother Bill Stinnett; and sisters Jo Morgan, Cloe Carlson and Peggy Stinnett.
