Council hears report on planned bus tours and perhaps as soon as this autumn

 


Monday’s city council meeting saw a report on package travel, approval of a timber harvest contract, the awarding of a cabaret license, and comments on community goings-on.

Earlene Sullivan, Executive Director of the Greater Goldendale Area Chamber of Commerce, updated the city council on development with package travel, the bringing of bus tours to the area. Following a highly productive visit to a bus tour convention, there are numerous incipient tours in the works. A familiarization bus tour of the county could occur as soon as fall this year.
