Lady Timberwolves pick up pace to get back to State volleyball tournament

Andrew Christiansen SET TO PLAY: Sierra Plum and Sierra Lamping will handle setting duties at Goldendale.

After what Coach Jodi Bellamy describes as great summer participation, the Goldendale volleyball team opened dual matches this week against SCAC east teams Kiona-Benton on Tuesday and River View, this Thursday. The Ki-Be was the home opener for a season in which Bellamy says she really believes her team can compete with the top teams in the league.

Goldendale had what Bellamy described as one of her strongest teams ever last year. The Lady Wolves had a great second half run to make it to Districts, but were knocked out of the run to State by Zillah for the second straight year and fifth straight year of missing out on State.
