Cougars off to 3-1 start with pair of 3-0 wins

 


Lyle-Wishram continued with a hot hand in volleyball, winning straight sets over Hood River JV and Stevenson, last week.

Stevenson pressed the Cougars during the first two sets which were decided by 25-23 scores. The Cougars took the third set 25-19. Lacy Carse had 11 kills in the match and three aces. Kiya Childers had four kills to go with another three aces. Ellie Smith served up 10 straight points in the final game and had 10 aces for the match.

Smith and Carse did the hitting against Hood River. Smith knocked down 10 kills and Carse had nine to go with 12 assists. The Cougars had another strong game at the service line with Caity Showalter serving up six aces, Carse logging five and...
