To the Editor:

I recently composed a letter to the editor on behalf of David Quesnel. The letter referred to certain tactics and improprieties his opponent, Lori Hoctor, has been displaying to discredit certain candidates running for offices in Klickitat County. After reviewing the draft letter, David simply told me that I can write what I want because it is my right, but urged me to re-think sending that letter in. David said he has made a promise to himself and others that he will not engage in a “mud slinging” campaign and would rather people voted for him based on who he is and what he plans to do to improve prosecution in Klickitat County.

The statement he made to me about his integrity in running a campaign based on what he plans to do rather than go down the road of his opponent is the very reason I strongly urge citizens in Klickitat County to vote for David Quesnel for prosecutor. David is not willing to put his principles in a box for the possibility of gaining a couple of votes by discrediting his opponent.
