Lady Wolves hang by a thin thread as volleyball winds down

 


Thursday's 3-0 loss to Granger all but sank Goldendale's chances of making it into the District playoffs in volleyball for the first time in a long time. The last time a Goldendale team wasn't in the District playoffs was 1994. As desperate as it may look, Coach Jodi Bellamy says the team is coming to practice with a positive attitude and takes some comfort from the big wins they have had this year.

The week started out with high hopes against tall odds. The Wolves defeated Highland, as expected in three straight sets 25-20, 25-15, 25-19. Serves were just off what Coach Jodi Bellamy expects, but the large number of aces made up for any deficiency. Sierra Lamping had aces on 10 of her 24...
