Scots edge Lady Wolves in low scoring soccer match

Goldendale is still searching for a league victory in soccer, but they continue to play well and were particularly competitive against Highland last week. Highland scored a goal in each half and held on for a 2-0 shutout win over the Lady Timberwolves, but they weathered some fierce pressure in the process.

A mistake in front of the net allowed the Scotties to score 12 minutes into the match. But, from that point on, Goldendale goaltender Neda Maghsadi proved tough to beat. Better play kept the ball at mid-field for much of the half and Maghsadi came up with a big save late in the period forcing a high kick on a one-on-one play.
