Prisoner escapes from Klickitat County jail

Charles Lloyd escaped this morning from the Klickitat County Jail.

The Klickitat County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) issued a statement this morning (Monday, Nov. 3) saying that at about 5 a.m. today Charles ("Charlie") W. Loyd (aka Charles W. Foley) escaped from the Klickitat County Jail and is currently at large. Loyd was incarcerated on the charges of Robbery First Degree, Kidnapping First Degree, Burglary First Degree, Assault Second Degree, and two counts of Theft of a Firearm.

The exact method of escape is currently under investigation, but the KCSO says Loyd was the only person to escape from the facility.

It is believed that Loyd may attempt to acquire transportation to flee from the Goldendale area. The public is urged to keep their vehicles locked and secured to prevent a theft from occurring.

If you have any information as to Loyd's whereabouts contact your local law enforcement agency or the Klickitat County Sheriff's Office at (509)773-4455.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONTACT OR APPREHEND THE WANTED INDIVIDUAL.
