Lyle-Wishram Cougars crack Acorn defense with land and air attack

Jacob Ziegler rushed for 114 yards and Gavyn Nelson and Gabe Montoya combined for another 225 yards in the air as Lyle-Wishram had an easy time defeating Oakville 45-12 on a rainy homecoming night in Lyle. On a night that featured Ziegler carrying the load at running back, Montoya managed to find his way into the end zone twice in the first half on 5-yard and 6-yard runs. Ziegler ran it in from 3-yards out on the first possession and scored on a 54-yard pass and run from Nelson. The other first half score was a 10-yard pass from Nelson to Cody Carse. Oakville scored just once from scrimmage on a 12-yard pass from Sid Cole to Adrian Patricio in the first quarte...
