Doctor beats the odds

Goldendale woman becomes a doctor and shows what determination can do

PRIDE‚ÄąPERSONIFIED: Dr. Catherine Doyle stands with her father, Steve Stout.

Dr. Catherine Doyle is just another medical professional in first-year residency with a specialty in family medicine and who has cerebral palsy.

Actually, she may be the only such doctor anywhere. Her disability, however, gave her greater creativity, intense determination, and an attitude most people would give anything for.

Doyle, daughter of Steve and Barbara Stout of Goldendale, is like a sunlamp. People with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) could probably be healed just by basking in her good spirits.
