Admission to Maryhill Museum of Art in exchange for food donation

Maryhill Museum of Art will once again hold a community food drive to mark the final day of its 2014 season.  For every two non-perishable food items contributed on Saturday, Nov. 15, visitors will receive one free adult admission.

Collected items will be routed to the Goldendale Community Food Bank, where they will be distributed to area families in need.  Items such as cereal, peanut butter, pasta, rice, tuna, and canned soup, fruits, or vegetables are especially encouraged.

"We are delighted to be able to give back to the community in this way," says museum director Colleen Schafroth.  "Food insecurity is something that affects so many in our region. We are pleased to be able to do something to help alleviate the need at this time of year."

Maryhill Museum of Art will be closed for the the season as of Nov. 16. The museum will re-open and celebrate its 75th Anniversary season March 15, 2015.
