Project Patch hosts Robin's Hope quilting retreat

Quilts for the troops:Eighteen quilters from area quilt guilds gathered at Project Patch to help accomplish the goal of Robin Lebold; to send a quilt with each member of her daughter's military unit before they deploy next year.

Robin Lebold is a member of the Columbia River Gorge Quilters' Guild. She has four children serving in the United States military. For several years she has been making and giving quilts to members of the military to remind them of the love and support of home.

When Robin found out her youngest daughter was being deployed overseas next year, she hoped to send a quilt with each member of her daughter's unit. Robin chose to give a quilt because each troop is expected to provide their own bedding while deployed. There are 100 members in her daughter's unit.
