Becky Rising Hearn

Rebekah "Becky" Ann Rising Hearn, 38, was tragically killed in an automobile accident on Nov. 11, 2014, in Livorno, Italy.

She was born January 12, 1976 in Goldendale, WA to Bob and Kris Rising. Becky had a very strong, simple, unencumbered faith in Jesus, which gave her the freedom to be who she was. The world will not be the same without this vibrant life!

Becky was raised in Goldendale, where she attended Goldendale Christian School. She was then home schooled for a brief period and finally graduated from Goldendale High School in 1994. She also attended Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore., where she studied floral design.

After college, Becky came back to Goldendale and worked at Riverview Bank and later transferred to the Riverview branch in White Salmon, Wash. Rebekah met her husband Casey while cashing his checks in the drive-through at the Goldendale Riverview Bank. After three months of casual conversation through the window, he finally decided to ask her on a date. They were married March 18, 2000, and after almost 15 years of marriage, they were never happier.

Casey and Rebekah joined the Air Force in February 2001 and their first duty station was Misawa, Japan. They then moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, where they bought their first home and where Rebekah met her best friend Kayla. After spending four years there, they moved to Mountain Home, Idaho for almost two years. Casey was then given an assignment to South Korea, where Rebekah would not be able to follow, so she moved back to Goldendale for a year. After that long and challenging year away from each other, they got an assignment to Livorno, Italy, where Rebekah worked for the Boy Scouts of America until her death on Veterans Day.

Becky was a very creative person and loved to decorate and quilt. Sometimes her creativeness got her into trouble, especially when it came to cooking! Carmelization was her safe word for when she left something on the stove for a little too long. She was a "shop until you drop" kind of person and had a plethora of shoes and purses. Rebekah also loved numbers and had continued her education in the accounting field where she earned her degree in accounting.

She was a truly unique person and brought such joy wherever she went with the prettiest smile that could light up any room. She was loud, funny, giving, loving, beautiful inside and out, and so full of life! God gave us a wonderful gift when he created Becky!

She is survived by her husband, Sergeant Casey Lee Hearn; her parents, Bob and Kris Rising of Goldendale; sister, Amy Rising (Jose) of Kennewick; brothers, Rob Rising (Juli) of Goldendale, and Ben Rising (Marintha), of Goldendale; and multiple aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and her Grandma Peggy.

A memorial celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at New Life Assembly of God church, 2602 S. Columbus Ave. A potluck dinner hosted by friends and family will follow the service. Cards and condolences may be sent to the family at P.O. Box 348, Goldendale, WA 98620.
