TEST DRIVING A NEW SLEIGH: Santa Claus tries out the travel mode of the Gorge in by-gone days. Santa's visit to the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum coincides with a free community appreciation day, Dec. 6

Mark your calendar for the annual Holiday Open House and Community Appreciation Day at Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum on Saturday, Dec. 6. Celebrate the holidays with free museum admission all day, complimentary cookies and hot cider, visits with Santa and live holiday music. Enjoy an optional Mexican food buffet, in honor of the traveling Smithsonian exhibit "Bittersweet Harvest: The Bracero Program," a bilingual exhibit.

All exhibits are free to the public 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the community appreciation day. Live holiday music will be featured from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring the Cascade Singers, TDHS Harmonaires, Jazz Band, Take Two, Harmony of the Gorge, and Everlasti...
