Norm Johnson, 14th Dist. Representative, invited Rep. Sharon Tomiko Santos for a visit of small schools in Eastern Washington this week. Santos, who chairs the House Education Committee and represents District 37 in Seattle, said the purpose of the visit to Klickitat County was to "take a look at some of the special characteristics and needs of small schools." Pictured during their stop at Goldendale School are (l-r) Santos, Goldendale School District Superintendent Mark Heid, Johnson, and Steve Myers of ESD 105. Myers described the two legislators as "champions of public education." Johnson said the trio visited schools at Bickleton, Lyle, and Centerville on Monday morning.
