Donation to SAR adds to rope rescue resources

ENHANCED CAPABILITY: Klickitat Search and Rescue added to their equipment inventory thanks to donations from Iberdrola Renewables Inc. and Big Horn Wind Plant of Bickleton. Klickitat County Search and Rescue was the recipient of a substantial donation from Iberdrola Renewables, Inc., Big Horn Wind Plant of Bickleton.  The donation enabled the Technical Rope Rescue Team to purchase and upgrade much needed equipment.

At the presentation of the check, members of the Rope Rescue Team displayed and explained the different items purchased. Items on display were two swivels, a Croll ascender, two Petzl's helmets, an MPD (multiple purpose device for raising and lowering), several large rope bags and a Purcell bag.

Currently, the KCSAR Rope Rescue Team has 19 members. Their goal is to provide a well-equipped rescue response team to assist lost and injured individual...
