Pirates over Touchet, but first half woes bury ladies

 


The Lady Pirates had a tough week with a pair of losses to Touchet and Moses Lake Academy.

Touchet built a huge first half lead off the shooting of Cierra Jo McKeown who made 18 of her 27 points in the first half, 12 from three-point shots. Touchet sent the Pirates to the foul line for 28 shots in the game, which were converted into 15 points. Lindsay Brown led the Pirates with 13 points and Hannah Pond scored 11.

A slow start hurt Bickleton at Moses Lake Academy as they were down 30-10 at the break. The second half started even slower with the Lady Pirates’ only score a free throw by Brown. The final score was 56-23. Bickleton was hurt by a 34-22 turnover margin in the game that limit...
