Size advantage powers Knight win

LOOKING FOR HELP: Ellie Smith looks for someone to pass to while being guarded by Sunnyside Christian's Kristen Broersma.

Maelynn Luke showed sparks of brilliance at Sunnyside Christian, Saturday but foul trouble limited her minutes and Lyle-Wishram had no solution for stopping the inside dominance of Annie Brouwer and Katelyn Banks as the Knights cruised to a 68-26 win.

Luke finished the game with 14 points to lead the Cougars. Kiya Childers had six rebounds and Delores Spino pulled down three in the loss.

Monday night was a win for the Cougars over Hood River JV. Luke scored 21 points and Lacy Carse had 13.
