Be choosey with screen time for a healthy media diet

 


It’s not news that smart phones, tablets, computers and TV’s have become deeply integrated into our everyday lives. We love our devices and they are here to stay. However, research suggests that too much screen time can impact our lives in ways we didn’t intend, such as causing weight gain and trouble sleeping. “Screen time” is the amount of time spent watching television or movies; playing video or computer games; surfing the internet; working on a computer; or using mobile devices. Kids, teens and adults can all benefit from a “healthy media diet” by being mindful about screen time.
