Showalter vaults 11-3 to win at Mullen-Leavitt

 


Josh Showalter felt he would jump 12-feet last week at the Eisenhower Jamboree. He wasn’t close, clearing 10-6, but it wasn’t far from his personal best of 11-feet. More importantly Showalter is jumping with confidence and last Friday he upped his PR to 11-3. It is only a matter of time before he jumps 12-feet, and more.

Showalter’s jump was the winner by more than two-feet at the Mullen-Leavitt Invitational at The Dalles. It was one of two wins for Lyle-Wishram on the day. The other was a win in the 100 meters by Jacob Zeigler. The senior is off to a strong start. He was third in the javelin and a key part of the Lyle-Wishram 4x100 relay team, which finished second in 47.58, about...
