Cougars score in 12 of 14 innings in sweep over Granger

 


Lyle-Wishram-Klickitat is looking to finish the season strong as the District playoff bracket was announced. After getting clobbered by a very tough Dufur squad, 10-0 and 19-1, the Cougars swept Granger 13-3 and 12-7 to bring their record to 7-9-1.

Chad Hester held the Rangers to five runs over four innings at Dufur in game one. But the bats were silent with just a pair of singles by Troy Spino and Chad Pile for LWK. Dufur closed out the five-inning game with a 5-run fifth inning.

Game two featured a double by Riley Mills and just one run scored by LWK.

The Cougars got their first complete games of the year with Hester and Zach Miller going the distance at Granger. Mills, who went 3-3 in...
