Goldendale girl plays in national championship game

SWIFT RUGBY: In a tough game (a bumper sticker reads, "Give blood, play rugby") Goldendale's Taylor Swift, center carrying the ball, is a stand-out player.

The final four is this weekend, and there will be a Goldendale player in one of the games.

No, this is not basketball. This is the final four of rugby, and Goldendale's own Taylor Swift will be dealing some punishment as the Central Washington University Wildcats take on perennial champions Penn State for the National title.

Four teams will go at it on Saturday on the grounds of Kennesaw State University, just north of Atlanta, Ga. Division II spring champion U.C. Riverside plays Notre Dame College for that title and CWU and Penn State get it on for the Division I title. Penn State will be looking for its 10th championship, while CWU is making its first appearance in the title game. Swif...
