Major Creek Cellars is "lifting" the gorge's wine industry for all

Winemaker: Steve Mason's winery, Major Creek Cellars, produces about 200 cases of wine each year. The winery is located in White Salmon.

Wine-making is definitely not for everyone. There is an art to it and if you don't have the time and the patience, you will not succeed at crafting delectable wines. Fortunately for all of the wine connoisseurs out there, the Columbia Gorge is a one-stop-shop for wine tasting. Among the dozens of vineyards in the gorge, there is an interesting winemaker with a unique wine production. Steve Mason, the man behind the Major Creek Cellars winery of White Salmon, was not always a "wine guy", but wine lovers have been thankful that it is what he has become.
