ALWAYS A TEAM: Representing the Goldendale Volunteer Fire Department was the team of Korey Carper, Nate Block, Ken Bostick and Eric Pineda.

Sixty-seven golfers hit the links in Goldendale to raise funds for Goldendale's wrestling club and football team camp. The annual event is hosted by coaches and players who participate in those two programs at Goldendale High School.

The winning team included Sam Wilkins, Dave Ross, Darren Hoffman, Mark Heid and Carl Hiebert. They shot a best ball 17 under par 55.

In addition to golf, players had the opportunity to compete in other games around the course, including a chip into the barrel and longest, most accurate punt.

Coming up at GGC:

• June 20 - US Open tourney day. Course is also open for public tee times.

• June 23 - Junior Golf - First of a series of Tuesday lesson/play days...
