High Street horses objects of ordinance concern

 


The city of Goldendale’s ordinance committee is revising the current livestock ordinance, as it lacks specifics on several matters and does not address how the city should handle issues discussed at city council meetings regarding the keeping of horses within city limits.

Complaints were made to the city about local equestrian and 4-H leader Paige Wells. Residents passing by High Street, where Wells is renting a pasture for her saddle horses, have complained that there isn’t adequate shelter for the animals and have also said that she has too many of them on the property.
