Martha Hartz

Martha (Walman) Hartz, 94 of Goldendale passed away after a short stay at Columbia Basin Care Facility in The Dalles, Or, on May 21, 2015.

She was born in Centerville, WA, to John and Ida (Hendricksen) Walman, in the house her father built on September 11, 1921. She attended school in Centerville, later moving to Goldendale with her parents. There she met and married Charles E. Hartz. They were blessed with two daughters, Glenda and Patty.

She was a homemaker and an avid movie buff who enjoyed the classic movies, collecting memorabilia, salt and pepper shakers, and going to yard sales. She embroidered most of her life and all family and friends were given her beautiful dresser scarves and pillow cases. Family potlucks were always her favorite times. Her spunk and laughter will be dearly missed.
