Police chase man around grocery store

 


Shoppers were no doubt surprised when a man took off running with police at his heels at Market Fresh grocery store in Goldendale.

The incident happened on Sept. 9 and began with a panic button alert from KVH around 4:23 p.m. According to Goldendale Police, a man identified as Andrew J. Webb, 34, had become abusive and potentially violent while visiting the emergency room for treatment of a broken finger. It was a repeat visit by Webb, who had been referred to an orthopedic surgeon a day or two earlier. During the encounter, hospital staff reported that Webb was cursing and kicked a stool before leaving.
