WDFW rescinds restrictions as cool air and rain ease river and lake conditions

 


The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife announced that drought closures and hoot owl rules have been cancelled for many areas following cooler weather and rain.

Restrictions were lifted on Sept. 2 for all game fish on the Naches River from Tieton River to Bumping River/Little Naches River, Rattlesnake Creek and the Yakima River from I-82 bridge at Union Gap to the South Cle Elum bridge.

Also on Sept. 2, rules reverted to normal on the Washougal River from the mouth upstream to the Salmon Falls Bridge, and on the East Fork of the Lewis River from the mouth upstream to 400 feet below Horseshoe Falls. Those rules also apply to salmon and steelhead.
