Key matches for Lady Wolves at half-way point in SCAC volleyball

 


Following a split against league foes, Goldendale’s volleyball team sits comfortably at 3-1 in league play with a key match against Zillah, Thursday in Goldendale.

The Lady Timberwolves were handed their first league loss last week by undefeated Granger 25-15, 25-12, 25-17. Serving was a weak spot in the match for Goldendale and they had difficulty handling big shots from the Spartans who were led by Lindsey Carpenter’s 16 kills. Four Wolves were in double digits on digs, led by Zara Kartes with 15. Ocean Bryan had 15 kills.

Depending on the outcome of Tuesday’s match at Naches Valley, the Wolves are second or third in league. Naches Valley and Zillah were the only undefeated team...
