Council works on end-of-year housekeeping

LAST MEETING: Deanna Luth said good-bye to the Goldendale city council Monday night as she attended her final meeting.

Goldendale City Council members rolled through a number of housekeeping measures Monday night for their final meeting of the year. That included approval of the 2016 city budget and adjustments to the fourth quarter of the 2015 budget.

Councilors also approved some interfund loans: $50,000 from the water and sewer fund to the parks fund to cover the cost of the new restrooms at Ekone Park; $30,000 from the water and sewer fund to the city street fund to pay contractors on the Mill Street Bridge repair this year. Insurance repayment isn't expected until early 2016. And $200,000 from the water and sewer fund to the street fund to cover design engineering for the West Columbus Neighborhood I...
