La Salle shoots their way past Goldendale 70-34

NO STOPPING HER: Ocean Bryan had her way against La Salle, scoring inside and out for a game high 22 points.

An aggressive defense shut down Goldendale's Lady Timberwolves on Saturday night as La Salle won 70-34 in the league opener for Goldendale. The Lady Timberwolves worked hard for a 31-29 rebounding edge, 15 coming from the offensive glass, but the Lightning shot 59 percent from the field to Goldendale's 32 percent and had the game in hand by half-time. Both teams had more turnovers than they would have liked, Goldendale with 37 and La Salle with 29. La Salle made the most of those opportunities, scoring 32 points off Goldendale errors, while the Wolves converted La Salle mistakes into just 10 points.
